Batsharp 186 Airbrush
Owning a few airbrush's, I had the need to have one to apply primers. After some research and because I wasn't after nothing to expensive, have come across this one. On first view on the website, I developed a "crush " by, it so I have decided to do some more research. I have looked on the website reviews and after resourced to youtube were I have seen very good applications of this piece of kit.
Happy with what I saw, I have made my mind and bought of for my self, but I decided to do a little upgrade even before arrive to me, I have added a few more needle to it. So I have ended up with a 0.2,0.3,0.5 and 0.8 nozzle and needles.

With the setup on 0.5, it was time to start experimenting it. I have a #Mustang kit from revell that works as my guinea pig, so I have used the wings as my work surface. Have used the primer from #AmmoMig one shot straight from the bottle and it have worked a treat, no clogging at all and the final result was really good as you can see on the photo. Have in mind that I still have an 0.8 if there was issues with the 0.5.

With the primer applied, was time to try is fine work, so have changed the setting to the 0.2 noozle and needle.
Have thinned the tamiya XF-86 and poured inside the airbrush. Have used a ratio of 40% paint to 60% thinner, usually for this type of work I thin the paint a lot more but was curios how this set up would behave with the challenge ahead. Once started spraying, could notice a lot of spider webing on the lines, so I have increased the pressure on the compressor and manage to get a bit less. Although on this stage is acceptable to have this effect as we are gone cover with the base coat, I was still not satisfied. Have added a bit more of thinner and it made all the difference the lines started to come out fine and very defined.

As you can see, the lines at first were very dispersed and loads of spider webbing and towards the end you can see nice fine line.
Happy with the result achieved by the end, started to do a camo in 2 tons, Green and brown so that we can see the contrast in a better way. Have used a larger paint to tinner ratio (30/70) for the out line of the camo and the results were very impressive must say.

As you can see on the picture, just a very minimal amount of over spray present.
Once I was happy with the lines done, have added a bit more of green to the mix and filled the interior with great results I must add.
With the green done, it was time to fill the gaps with he brown. Have used the same ratio, but as different paints have different densities, this ratio didn't worked as well as with the green, but for the demo purpose I have't worried to much with this as we by now know the capabilities of this set up.
The final result was very satisfactory and have enjoyed working with it, all in all a very good addition to your lot of tools.

Conclusion
Being my self a owner of a couple of badger airbrush and as well and Aztec, I must say that I was very impressed with this airbrush.
Very well made and sturdy, the only "defect" I can point out, is the stiffness of the trigger when pulling back, but believe that with time and more use, it will start to become more freely.
The sensation on the hand is very good as well, not so heavy that you gone get cramps of holding it , but not as light as a feather that you are gone forget that you are holding an airbrush.
All in all, not as good as an Iwatta or a badger I must say, but for the fraction of the price that costs, it is a very good piece of for you to start yourself on the #airbrush world or even for the more experienced #scalemodeller this is a great acquisition for the multiple color works not having the need to clean the airbrush in between colours.
