Hi guys, here we are for our weekly post .
This time, I will be using a new putty that is available on the market. The brand is Fire Scale Modeler and the store is situated in Portugal.
This is a super fine acrylic putty. I have received my order last week and since then have tried it in other projects that I have been using and must say with great results. So I have decided to share my experience with you.
For this I have used my Mustang P51-D from airfix at 1/72. This is a great model, but when separating the 2 half of the fuselage from the sprues, got a bit carried away and now we can see the result when the 2 hall's were put together. But fear not, the Fire Scale Modeler putty is here to the rescue.
Started by sanding the seam line to see the extension of the damaged needed to fix.

Have diluted some putty in nail polish remover and started filling the seam line with the help of a tooth pick. In this stage you have to use little portions and be a as quick as possible to work with it as this putty has a working time of 1.5 minutes.
Although, a little piece of advise for the modelers that are like me and try to save some money using the empty tablet blisters.
The nail polisher will melt the plastic :)
Note that I was fully aware of this, but even though, I complete forgot about it, only when I saw the mess on the bench I realize the issue .

Once this was done , I have let it dry for 10 minutes just to be on the safe side and
started working on it.
Have used the Albion files.
Although I can compare this putty to the Tamyia or even to the Mr Hobby white putty in terms of adhering to the plastic, in the terms of hardness, this one is much better to file off. Have used the 3 types of coarse file from the hard to the fine one and finished by using the wet sand paper 2000.

Conclusion
In conclusion, and after working with it in some projects, I can say for sure that this is a must have for you modelling bench. I have three types of putty on my bench, perfect plastic putty, Tamiya and Mr hobby white putty, and can assure you that by far, this is my favorite now.
If you want to acquire one this is were you can find it.
Thank you all
Plastic Alchemist.
